PANOZ ESPERANTE GTLM

This car is the second GT 2 racecar produced on the Esperante chassis. It was campaigned by Hyper Sport as the first of the two cars that ran during the develo'pment years with team principle Rick Skelton leading the effort.

To celebrate the outstanding achievements of 2006 the car has been liveried-by Panoz- in the unmistakable Orange of the Team LNT car that was driven to victory at the 24 hours of Le Mans. Under the leadership of owner-driver Lawrence Tomlinson and with co drivers Richard Dean and Tom Kimber-Smith, the Le Mans GT2 title was achieved on the team's first attempt in a Panoz at Le Mans.

The 24 hours of Le Mans is considered by most of the world's race aficionados as the greatest and most difficult race in the world to win and the GT2 Class is by far the most meaningful in that the cars are basically cars we can buy and drive on the street. This production based class has been the province of a few European sports car builders for the more than 50 years that the race has been run, until this little American car company came along in 2006 and beat them all to the checkered flag.

It is with great pride that we offer this car for sale at Wirewheel Classic Sports Cars, Inc.
