1965 McLaren M1B Can-Am

Introduced in 1965, the McLaren M1B was an evolution of the earlier McLaren M1A. Designed under the direction of Bruce McLaren & manufactured by Trojan (Elva's parent company), the M1B featured updated bodywork & a stiffer chassis.
This McLaren M1B is chassis 30-22, one of just 28 examples produced. The car was originally campaigned by Candido DaMota from 1966-1968. The car was upgraded to M1C specification in 1967.
Since being acquired in 2009 by the current owner the car has been refurbished & maintained by Heritage Motorsports. The car has been successfully campaigned in numerous historic racing events including the Monterey Motorsports Reunion & has received two invites to the Amelia Concours d'Elegance.
